In case you did not read it on the frontpage: My name is Herman Guijt — an embedded software engineer, architect, and integrator. I’m 40 years old now. I studied electronics and have been working in embedded systems development for 17 years. I apply the right tools, methods, and techniques to deliver reliable solutions on time, within budget, and aligned with your functional requirements. From Business case to support in the field. I have hands-on experience with every phase of the embedded software lifecycle: from early-stage exploration and defining the business case, through requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, and formal acceptance — all the way to field support, maintenance, and lessons learned.

I completed my studies in electronics with a focus on digital systems, specializing in technologies such as microcontrollers and FPGAs.

With my experience as a software engineer, scrum master, project leader, and manager, I have a clear understanding of what it takes to make a project succeed and to maintain a product sustainably after commissioning.

Outside of work, I love making music. I enjoy playing the piano or drums, or you’ll find me behind the mixing console during a live worship session.
